Biography

Shainur Premji is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics, University of York, and a PhD candidate in health economics in the Department of Community Health Sciences, University of Calgary. Shainur has over 15 years of progressive experience in applied health research, program evaluation, and health economics and has worked in various public, private, and academic environments.

Research Interests and Expertise

Shainur's current research interests include examining spillover and multi-sectoral effects for interventions related to maternal and child health, using administrative data sources to estimate the economic burden of disease for the Alberta health care system, estimating the wider societal impacts of interventions, and examining public health inequalities using distributional cost-effectiveness analysis methods.
