GSA Student Chapter

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Student Chapter is a graduate student club at UCalgary, supported by the Centre on Aging. The Chapter brings together trainees with interests in aging research, policy, practice, and innovation. It provides opportunities for networking, professional development, collaboration, and peer support across disciplines through events, workshops, guest speakers, and other activities related to aging and gerontology.

What is the GSA? The oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to research, education, and practice in the field of aging.

Who Can Participate?

While full membership is limited to graduate students (i.e., Master's students, PhD students/candidates), the GSA Student Chapter welcomes participation and engagement from trainees at all levels and from all disciplines who are interested in aging. Non-graduate students can participate as affiliate members and/or join the Chapter mailing list to receive information about upcoming events, activities, and opportunities.

Please indicate your current program and level of study (e.g., MSc Community Health Sciences, PhD Psychology, MD, Undergraduate Health Sciences, Postdoctoral Scholar, etc.). This information will help us determine your eligibility for full or affiliate membership in the Student Chapter.
