Health Equity HUB Student Funding Competitions
To support capacity building among health equity scholars, the HUB is offering two funding opportunities for trainees pursuing research that supports the Institute’s Healthier Populations goal, and its Equity and Prevention areas of focus.
Community-Engaged Research Award
The Community-Engaged Research Award will support graduate students in covering the costs of their HUB-relevant research projects by funding honoraria (up to $500) either for participants or community advisors.
Graduate students supervised by members of the O’Brien Institute can submit this application form, and if awarded, report using this template.
Student Travel Award
The Student Travel Award will provide funding (up to $500) to support travel for graduate students who are presenting HUB-relevant research, as the first author, at an academic conference.
Graduate students supervised by members of the O’Brien Institute can submit this application form, and if awarded, report using this template.
Both types of applications are accepted at any time, and will be reviewed by a panel for eligibility, until the annual amount budgeted for each opportunity is expended each fiscal year (1 April – 31 March). See the application forms for further information.
