Welcome to our new manager, Health Equity Hub
Anna Liwander brings more than 15 years of experience advancing health, gender equality and social inclusion through her work with civil society organizations, the UN, academia, and government. Her career has focused on addressing health inequities, particularly for youth experiencing discrimination due to race, culture, age, and gender.
Anna played a key role in establishing a global hub for adolescents' sexual and reproductive health and rights and has supported initiatives to strengthen civil society and youth engagement. With expertise in advisory roles, program management, and gender-transformative approaches, Anna is skilled in fostering collaborations that drive meaningful change.
In her new role as manager of the O'Brien Institute Health Equity Hub, Anna will lead the continued development of the Hub, connecting researchers and community partners to translate research into actionable solutions for better health outcomes. Passionate about advancing health equity, Anna is committed to ensuring that research reflects lived experiences and informs impactful social change. We are excited to welcome her leadership in advancing the Hub’s mission and fostering impactful partnerships.
